Exciting Developments at TWDC: Practice Expansion and UK Dentistry Awards | Tiwari Watson Dental Blog

Sunday 8th Sept 2024

I think we can all agree it’s been a hoaching summer in Glasgow this year. Yesterday was the first day of sunshine that I remember for about 3 months and sadly I spent it in Wren kitchens πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ. I couldn’t wait to get out so our new kitchen might give off a “that’ll do” kind of vibe when it arrives. It should blend in with our cuisine at least as we’ve invested in an air fryer and seem to have had an insane amount of chicken nuggets in the diet lately. We also have one at work and when I forget my lunch the emergency nugs are always ready to step up to the plate. In summary, I could really do with a healthier diet and climate please.

My last blog post was about our charity fundraiser for Cancer Research UK, which we completed back in May, during that other day this ‘summer’ when the sun actually came out, remember? Thanks to the generosity of our patients, family & friends we managed to raise Β£2851.04.

11 hours, 60,000 steps each, great effort by the teamπŸ’ͺ🏼

Raashi and I are making another trek this weekend as we head off to Leicester for the UK Dentistry Awards. TWDC is up for Best Practice Scotland and Best Team Scotland. Fingers crossed we come back with more silverware for the trophy cabinet 🀞🏼

Not that we’re banking on the win and the need for more space for trophies, but co-incidentally we are also starting work to extend our practice this month:

It’ll be worth it in the end as we’ll bring our new patient waiting lists to ZERO once it’s finished but we’ll have some teething issues of our own in the next few months.

To all our lovely patients, please bear with us as we get the work done. We’re aiming to stay open the whole time but we’ll have to close at lunch times and ask some patients to wait in their cars until their appointment time. There will also be some noise in the background but if its quite loud, at least rest assured this won’t be coming from our drills!

Thank you in advance to our patients for your patience! We can’t wait to give you a spacious and comfortable waiting room and two more state of the art air-conditioned surgeries, as well as minimal wait times for appointments come March.

Will keep you all updated as the works go on,

Take care and thanks for reading,

Joe
